Liebherr tower cranes on the SKY PARK project by Zaha Hadid – Bratislava

The view of our capital horizon is currently changing significantly. The main factor of this change in the silhouette of Bratislava is the construction of high-rise buildings in the area of Mlynské Nivy. One of these projects is the construction of SkyPark residential buildings designed by the renowned British arichitect Zaha Hadid.

Kranimex spol. Ltd. is involved in the construction of SkyPark Tower B and Tower C on Čulenova Street. Four Liebherr tower cranes with a hook height of over 115m are deployed on this site.

The Liebherr 112 EC-H operates on Tower B with a full jib – 55m reach. Thanks to anchoring on the robust 500HC tower and the use of a transition piece to the 256HC tower and subsequently to 120HC, this crane could be built at a base height of 95m below the hook – without the need to anchor the building. As the construction progressed and the height of the building increased, it was necessary to climb the crane in four stages to 110.3m, 117.8m to the final height of 130.3m under the hook. In the final phase, the crane is anchored to the building at three tower positions.

Liebherr 112 EC-H was also used for the construction of the C tower. In the final phase with a height of 120m under the hook, the crane tower is anchored to the building a total of 4 times. In addition to these cranes, 130 EC-B flat-top cranes with a height of 115m under the hook and 110 EC-B 108m high were also involved in the work.
